Spindle City Pizza, located in Albany County at 84 Ontario Street in Cohoes, opened in October 2022.

Its menu boasts several varieties of pizza, pasta, and wings, as well as starters like chicken wontons and garlic bites.

More adventurous diners can choose from various specialty pies, like the Sweet & Spicy, made with sausage, pepperoni, peppers, onions, and hot honey.

There’s also the Happy Wife, Happy Life, which consists of bacon, tomato, and ranch drizzle on a garlic buttered crust.

Spindle City Pizza served over 400 guests during its first week in business, the restaurant revealed in a Facebook post. A second pizza oven was up and running days later.

The restaurant has already garnered plenty of positive feedback online, including from Claudia D., a self-proclaimed “crust-snob” from South Carolina, who sang high praise in a review on Yelp.

“Gentleman was extremely pleasant and pizza was delicious,” she wrote. “(The crust) was just what I was looking for… crisp!”

Another reviewer was equally impressed after stopping by shortly after opening day.

“They were killing it, getting things made and out the door,” Ian W., of New Hampshire, wrote.

“The pizza was pretty good and had a good spicy kick from the hot peppers.”

Spindle City Pizza is open daily. Find out more on its website
